Verse 1:
Yeah, listen up, this is life in the Ozark hills,
No peace, just crime and a mess of pills,
Momma crying, wind stole our last bill,
Evicted from the house, but we got no will.

Chorus:
Ozark wills, living on the edge,
Broken dreams, on the razor's edge,
Music's my escape, I won't be the same,
Ozark hills, you're the devil's game.

Verse 2:
Meth in the veins, house full of users,
Scratching for a high, no future or pursuers,
I'm just a kid, man, I can't see clear,
Caught in the spiral, screaming out of here.

Chorus:
Ozark wills, living on the edge,
Broken dreams, on the razor's edge,
Music's my escape, I won't be the same,
Ozark hills, you're the devil's game.

Bridge:
Hope hangs by a thread, in a whirlwind of dread,
But I got beats and bars, they runnin' in my head,
I'ma break these chains, every word I said,
Fightin' for a chance, pushin' till I'm dead.

Verse 3:
Seen too much, heard even more,
In a land where the poor always get ignored,
But my sound is my shield, my lyrics my sword,
Gonna rise up, break free, no longer stored.

Chorus:
Ozark wills, living on the edge,
Broken dreams, on the razor's edge,
Music's my escape, I won't be the same,
Ozark hills, you're the devil's game.

Outro:
Nothin' but pain in the Ozark strains,
But I got faith in the notes that remain,
Every verse a step outta these chains,
Ozark wills, yet the fight sustains.

About "Ozark Wills"
  • Song Idea:

The song is called “Ozark Wills” a play on Ozark hills. It is about growing up in rural Missouri being broke and around a lot of crime and drugs, especially meth. It is also about using music as an escape from all of that. At this time my entire family were users, I lived in a drug house, and soon after that we lost our home. I remember watching my mom cry one time because the wind blew away a few hundred dollars.
