Did you ever think, dear Glinda,
That all our stories were intertwined?
From the yellow bricks to emerald glints,
Our paths have always been defined.

Glinda:
Oh, Elphie, the winds are changing,
Listen to the whispers in the trees.
The Wicked Witch may be the least of our concerns,
For an evil army approaches with ease.

Glinda: Elphie, there are rumors—dark forces gathering.

(Sung)
Elphaba:
Threats from afar, brewing where shadows creep,
But I’ll not be swept, nor shall we fall into their sly, pernicious sweep.

Glinda:
Can’t you feel the storm that's coming,
A tempest of trouble at the Golden Gate?
An army, ruthless and cunning,
Their ambition set to twist our fate.

Elphaba: Who leads this oppressive guise? Another fraud draped in disguise?

Glinda:
Not just any villain, but a master of deceit,
A wicked warrior intent on Oz's defeat.

Elphaba:
Let them come, let them see,
For Oz's heart beats fierce and free.
With every wit, we’ll parry their play,
In the face of darkness, we'll find our way.

Glinda:
Yet Elphie, tread with care,
The threads of fate are frayed and bare.
We must outsmart, outshine their devilish plan,
For Oz's salvation lies in our hand.

Glinda: Elphie, if we don't unite now, everything we've fought for—everything we've dreamt—will crumble.

Of wits over war, where courage prevails.
We'll rally the strength from our past glories,
Champion the future with dazzling stories.

Glinda:
High above the Emerald City,
